- initially built as a fishing lugger in Bergen, Norway in 1907.
- used under the name "Njord", first equiped with a steam engine, later fitted with a diesel engine.
- put out of commission between 1944 and 1989.
- present owner Jaap van der Rest bought the ship 1989 and converted her himself to a modern sea-going vessel with ketch rigging, used for testing young people's staying power and courage.
- charter ship since 1992, mostly sails in Danish and German waters and to Baltic Sea cities, participates in many maritime events such as the Kieler Woche and Hanse Sail Rostock.
- in winter 2001/2002 converted to a 3-masted gaff schooner and rebuilding on the hull.
- 2008/2009 converted to a barkentine.
