  • in 1977 the "Pride of Baltimore" was launched, the ship was lost in a storm at the coast of Puerto Rico
  • "Pride of Baltimore II" was commisioned in 1988, she is a Goodwill Ambassador of the State of Maryland and the Port of Baltimore
  • replica of an 1812-era topsail schooner, sometimes called Baltimore Clipper, well-designed hull together with a high sail area made these ships very fast
  • differencies between the "Pride of Baltimore II" and the original ship include a larger hull, watertight bulkheads, more ballast, more engine power and modern electronic navigation systems
  • completely dismasted in the Bay of Biscay between France and Spain in September 2005, on her way to the Tall Ships' Festival in Santander, cause by a squall she first lost her bowsprit following both masts, none of the 18 crew member were hurt, she was brought to Saint-Nazaire, France
