Portrait of the sailing ship:

Last update: 11 Dec 2022

  • reconstruction of a 17th century Swedish bojort, a boeier; that shiptype originally came from Holland and Flanders and was used to putting out buoys and locate banks and shoals, ships of this type have been important for the town Kristinehamn because they transported iron from Bergslagen via the lake Vänern to destinations abroad.
  • built in Kristinehamn, Sweden according to an old dutch tradition between 1997 and 2003, financed partly by the EU.
  • used for day and charter trips in the Kristinehamn archipelago.
  • inspection in Sjötorp, SWE in 2021, due to the need of repairs of the deck and maybe more of the hull construction she was not used during the entire 2022 season, future fate is unclear.
