  • built as a three-masted schooner with a fore-yard at the Danish shipyard J.Ring Andersen in 1944 on order of the shipping company A.C. Sorensen to sail the Baltic Sea and Newfoundland routes, first name was "Nette S".
  • used for fishing off the Greenland coast from 1950 under the name "Peder Most", and as a cattle transporter between Hamburg, GER and Copenhagen, DK from 1954.
  • refitted by the British Outward Bound Trust in 1955 and handed over to the Moray Sea School as a training vessel for 24 trainees, since 1965 under new name "Prince Louis II".
  • since 1968 she has been used by the "Les amis de Jeudi-Dimanche" organization for the rehabilitation of young offenders and drug addicts, renamed the "Bel Espoir II".
  • she usually sails the Caribbean during winter time and the west coast of France in the summer months
  • took part sailing events like the 1985 Sail Amsterdam, the 1986 Operation Sail in New York, Hanse Sail Rostock 2003, Brest 2004, Brest 2008 and Brest 2016.
  • since February 2017 no longer seaworthy due to structural problems on the hull, the operating association is working on a project for a replacement ship made of steel where recycable equipment of the old ship is reused for the new one
