  • built as a luxurious private yacht for Robert C. Roebling of Trenton at the Bath Iron Works shipyard in Bath, Maine, USA from designs by Henry J. Gielow as a 3-masted staysail schooner in 1930, first name was "Black Douglas", keel laid on November 22, 1929, launched on June 9, 1930, and delivered on July 29, 1930.
  • later the ship's deck structure was heavily altered, transferred to the United States Navy in 1942 and used for Pacific Coastal Duty and California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigations, during WWII she was used as a warship, removal of her rigging, in 1942 a new engine was installed, a large deckhouse structure was added with a gun on the bow.
  • returned to the old owners in October 1944, later given to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service as a research vessel, used for oceanic research in the 1950s, transferred to the Bureau of Fisheries.
  • used as a freighter in the Caribbean, without any use between 1967-1972.
  • in 1972, acquired by George Stoll to commissioning her as the second Flint School ship, renamed the "Te Quest", partially restored back to the original sailing yacht, together with the "Te Vega" used as a training ship based in Sarasota, Florida, to train the pupils of the school.
  • in March 1981 the Flint School was closed and 1982 some European businessmen purchased the ship, totally rebuilt as the luxury yacht "Aquarius W" at the shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen in Lemwerder, Germany, conversion of the rig from a 2-masted gaff schooner to a 3-masted staysail schooner, relaunched in 1983, registered in George Town, Cayman Islands under British flag.
  • for sale in February 2001, after sold renamed the "El Boughaz I", new owner became the King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
