  • replica of a timber merchant schooner, the "Ellen" (built 1909 in Denmark), which was highly regarded by her Swedish owners for her speed and maneouverability, designed by Lars and Lars-Erik Johansson.
  • keel laid at the Kockum's yard at Malmö, accomodation, rigging and completion by Vindö Marin in 1982, equipped with extensive electronic equipment and the modern technical facilities of a luxury yacht.
  • in first-class sailing conditions, the vessel can reach speeds of up to 18 knots.
  • sailed as a charter ship to the West Indies in 1982, to Quebec in 1984 for the 450th anniversary of the discovery of Canada, and then charter tours to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
  • the interior was refitted in 1990.
  • despite economic problems and being laid up for a period in San Remo/Ita, she is still used as a charter vessel.
  • 1993 sold to a new owner who refitted the ship.
  • 2010-2021 used as charter ship out of Skärhamn/SWE by the Tarbet Shipping company.
  • in 2022 she replaces the sunken "Asgard II" as Irish sail training ship under the new name STV "Grace O'Malley", docked in Harland & Wolff in November 2022 to rebuilt her for the new task.
