- she is a reproduction of the East Indiaman "Amsterdam" from 1749 unable to sail, the "Amsterdam" was lost during her first voyage from Texel to Asia, the wreck lays on the English coast next to Hastings and can be seen when the water is low
- reproduction in Amsterdam, keel was laid on 1. May, 1985, launched in 1989, completion in 1990
- used as a museum ship of the Dutch Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam, she has always a crew, who celebrates and performs usual activities of a seaman's life in that time
